Let me start by saying that while I appreciate the open world style and innovative game play of the Grand Theft Auto games, I was never a huge fan of the series.
Red Dead Redemption, on the other hand, has earned my vote for the best game ever made, no exaggeration. The story is absolutely epic. It's Unforgiven, the Good the Bad and the Ugly, and the Outlaw Josey Wales all rolled into one amazing video game. They aimed for the stars with this game, and they landed pretty darn close. Missions never got repetitive and boring (like they did for me in GTA), they were difficult but not impossible, and there are TONS of them. I paid full price for this game, and feel it was worth every penny twice over.
You won't be disappointed with this game! I will caution it is gritty and not suitable for young children.

The game is pretty good. The graphics aren't the best, but fun to play for an hour or two. After about two hours the game gets old and is no longer fun to play until the next day.

Halfway through the first part of the game, all my save files became corrupted as ever time I went anywhere near water, most of the textures would disappear, the player character couldn't move and the menus became invisible.
