Dr Ali Torveau, trauma surgeon, deals with death and tragedy almost every day in the trauma unit. She is also nursing a personal tragedy, so the last thing she wants or needs is to fall in love.
Beau Cross, firefighter turns up in Ali's unit one day. She is also nursing a personal tragedy and doesn't want or need to fall in love. But sometimes it doesn't matter how hard you try not to, or fight it, the inevitable is going to happen.
This is definitely a brilliant start to a new first responders series. There are some much loved characters from previous books too. But the book is complete in it's self. Roll on the next one.

Radclyffe at her best once again! Wonderful love atory. Has some very exciting moments also. The scene with the gunman will keep you riveted. She also brought back
Wynter and Pearce from the "Turn back time" book. And that was a wonderful surprise because she gives the reader a look at how their life together has evolved, loved it.
The love that develops between Beau and Ali is very touching. You'll cheer for them in the end. Another great book!!

There were so many things I liked about Radclyffe's "Trauma Alert" - the denial of feelings, the simmering sexual undertone and the great use of supporting characters to name a few. I started reading this at work, and tried so many times to put it down, but the friendship and love between Beau and Ali was too much....I had to finish it. A simple love story that you can enjoy without overthinking.
