The Diva Runs Out of Thyme (A Domestic Diva Mystery) (Mass Market Paperback)

Product description
Gracious living can be murder. First in an all-new mystery series— includes delicious recipes and great tips on entertaining!
Few can compete with Natasha Smith when it comes to entertaining, but her childhood rival, Sophie Winston, certainly tries. Natasha may have stolen the spotlight—and Sophie’s husband—but Sophie is determined to rob her of the prize for the Stupendous Stuffing Shakedown. She just needs the right ingredient.
But Sophie’s search for the perfect turkey takes a basting when she stumbles across a corpse. And when the police find her name and photo inside the victim’s car, Sophie will have to set her trussing aside to solve the murder—or she’ll be serving up prison grub.

The writing is okay. The food sounds fabulous, but Sophie is a rug. She absolutely wore me out with so much cooking and accomodating for everyone.
Diva Sophie is great - Natasha is not

Hey, I really like the author's style, great settings and characters - I've just tried to read the 3rd book but had to put it down. The verbal abuse from Natasha is too, too much. Maybe smattered a few times but not constantly as it is. It's too much.
I'm trying my best to get out of an abusive relationship and it's still to sharp to enjoy the books. Maybe in 5-6 years.

This book lacks a good plot. The events are unrealistic and choppy. Things like serving a lunch buffet to the police officers after an attempted murder is so unrealistic....I finished it ...but I won't read another one. The characters seem unrealistic and poor quality...I'm not drawn to them at all! laura Childs books are much better!
